ᵃᵈ/ᵃⁿᶻᵉⁱᵍᵉVietnamese & French Fusion Restaurant @madame_ngo_une_hanoi_brasserie has some pretty nice VN Banh Mi🥖🤔. Might be the best Banh Mi I've had in Berlin so far actually 😜! Our bread could have been a bit crispier outside but it still had a good airy texture and the fillings were a nice mix of pretty authentic ingredients. 😉

Apart from some restaurants in the Dong Xuan Center, this was probably the first restaurant where my parents found many dishes to have a more authentic aroma 😳! Last time I got them VN food from another VN restaurant in Berlin and they roasted it to a pulp🙊 so Madame Nog's food seemed to hit some taste buds at least. 🤣 Kudos to that! My favourite was the BANH MI😁.

ᴬᵈ/ᴬⁿᶻᵉⁱᵍᵉ ᵘⁿᵇᵉᶻᵃʰˡᵗ It's mooncake season!!!! With the approaching asian Moon Festival/Mid-Autumn Festival🌕🏮 on 21.09.21 you have the chance to buy mooncake flour (cooked/roasted rice flower) in most asian supermarkets right now😲! We definitely stocked up on it because making it yourself is kinda difficult so hurry while it's still in stock x😆!

From our own experience at least for the Vietnamese version we can say that the snow skin wrapper is missing some aroma etc. when you attempt to make it with only (glutinous) rice flour like many recipes suggest instead of cooked/roasted glutinous rice flour🤔. Another thing I noticed is that the Vietnamese version usually has a pomelo flower essence added to the dough giving it its trademark aroma.🤭 You can use glutinous rice flour and rice flour as substitute at alle times though if you can't get the cooked/roasted version 😌.

We used beetroot🔴 and matcha🟢 for coloring, it's fully vegan🌱 and you can order pretty mooncake molds online. 🥰 Or you can buy mooncakes pre-made with a snow skin or as a baked version with different fillings in asian supermarkets (last pics). Mooncakes origin from China and are kinda like a pretty and a bit denser mochi version and usually the wrapping skin is thinner.😜 At home we prefer to make a thicker skin to balance out the sweet filling so don't be surprised.🤪🥮

Like last time I honestly enjoyed everything so much😍 but if you'd force me to choose I'd go with:

I've been super curious about Cake slices on sticks these days🍰🤔 so I tried the CHEESECAKES ON STICKS (3,50 €) here. I still prefer eating cakes on a plate with a fork but it's a fun and eye-catching concept for on the go 😆.

Of course I had to try their very generously filled crazy donuts🍩 (2-6 €, flavours vary everyday) as well. The Pictachio filled one was my favorite! The winner that took the crown of our whole order though was their BISCOFF LOTUS SHAKE (4,50 €)! 😍 Refreshing, not overly sweet and biscoff lotus flavored duuuh!! As always, bring your reusable straw and cup if possible :).

ᵃᵈ/ᵃⁿᶻᵉⁱᵍᵉ🇩🇪 Beautifully presented, tasty vegetarian food accompanied with equally gorgeous cocktails🤌@bonvivantberlin from last Sunday. ☺

Our favorite was their EGGS BENEDICT🍳 with pesto spread🌱and hollandaise on a thick sourdough bread 🍞 along with their red Lemonade🍹! We also enjoyed their vegan TACOS🌮 - a nice combination between tangy ingredients and rich corn tortilla flavor👍. Interestingly their French Toast is made by using sourdough bread instead of the typical toast🤔. It's personally not my cup of tea but maybe it's yours 😬.

We actually came for their Pancakes🥞 and Granola🥣 but both were sold out when we came (probably 'cause they're that popular)😉 so we'll definitely have to come back.

ᵃᵈ/ᵃⁿᶻᵉⁱᵍᵉ I checked out the new location from @houseofsmallwonderberlin 😍. If whimsical café brunch vibes with a Japanese touch sounds good to you, this is the perfect adress!

I am still dreaming of their Japanese KAKUNI DON🤤: Most tender, melt in your mouth braised apple-fed pork belly I've ever had in my life🤩!! It's coated in a rich soy-based sauce and served over steamed rice🍚 with an organic Onsen Tamago🥚 (Japanese style soft-cooked egg) and Japanese chilli pepper oil. I really recommend this dish!! Only wished it had more of that delicious chilli pepper oil🤤 to add even more seasoning and umami to the rice and egg. 🤭 So I added some salt🧂 instead 😂🤌.

Another special is their MENTAIKO SPAGHETTI🍝, a Japanese Fusion dish originating from Tokyo in the mid-1900s, served with spicy cod roe and topped with shiso & nori-seaweed. A really interesting seafood dish🌊. I especially enjoyed the bites with shiso and cod roe😍, but I am missing some kick and texture after a while 🤔.

You should definitely accompany your meals with a refreshing drink like their HOMEMADE MINT LEMONADE in this heat 🤤🥵!

And don't forget their delicious desserts! Their soft MATCHA ROULADE is a great deal and will fill you up for sure! For a lighter dessert I suggest the EARL GREY CREME BRULEE 🤗! Our caramelized top crust could have been torched a bit less 😉 but that earl grey creme pudding beneath the slightly burned top was absolutely devine 🤤😎!! Rich taste, creamy texture, perfect finish to a wonderful brunch👍!

ᵃᵈ/ᵃⁿᶻᵉⁱᵍᵉ In love with the Korean food from @reiszeit.berlin 😍! It's become my top recommendation for Korean lunch actually! All dishes were umami.✔Amazing chewy rice!✔ Delicious cheese, also great for gorgeous cheese pulls✔ Super nice staff and owner ✔

I honestly enjoy @reiszeit.berlin and love their veggie KIMBAPS 😍, KIMCHI PANCAKES 🤌 and I especially recommend you to check out their cheesy fried rice KIMCHI BOKKEUMBAP🍚 🤤 👌!
Reiszeit actually made me fall for Korean Kimchi pancakes 🤯! I haven't enjoyed them anywhere else yet 😯!

Only the BIBIM GUKSU (cold noodles) were too sweet for me and could have been a bit spicier. However, @thaovi_ng thought the opposite: she was fine with the sweetness level but the spice got to her 😂. It is a fitting summer dish in general though.

Again: try their cheesy KIMCHI BOKKEUMBAP 🍚 🧀!
