Last Thursday I finally made it to the highly praised @kokio for their Korean chicken, after a wellness day with @_t_linh and @stullenbrod at @haman_sultan_bishkek
I had high expectations due to all the positive feedback I’ve heard about the chicken here. However, it wasn’t as mindblowing as I thought it would be . Don’t get me wrong, it was ok/good.The Chicken was juicy and the coating/breading very crispy as you would expect of Korean chicken! And the service was super nice and attentive!
So I don’t want to anger any kokio lovers but I think the chicken wasn’t flavourful enough! There, I said itxD We had the SOY GARLIC CHICKEN and the SWEET CHILLI CHICKEN. We could barely taste any garlic and the sweet chilli was just sweet but barely spicy.
So while the texture was perfect, the chicken was lacking in flavour in my (and my friend’s) opinion. Also the chicken came with Fries, pickled Radish and Cabbage Salad. The fries could have been a bit crispier but other than that they were ok. The star here is the chicken anyway so nevermind the sides xD
We were 3 and ordered the BONELESS KOKIO CHICKEN FOR 2 (19,50€). I reccomend everyone to listen to kokio and eat with the recommended amount of people. Bc the chicken wasn’t enough for 3 in my opinion. And for heavy eaters like me the portion for 2 is enough for 1
I do wanna go back and give the WASABI CHICKEN with bones a try. .
